Itinerary

Day 1 - Landing to Persia (Tehran)

Welcome to Iran! Your arrival will be at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA). After that, your guide meets and transfers you to the Hotel. You can rest and have free time.

Day 2 - Museums

On our first day of the tour, you will visit the Carpet Museum of Iran an exhibition of a variety of Persian carpets and kilims from all over Iran, dating from the 18th century up to the present. Get amazed at the eye-catching precious collection of carpets of Iranian 3500 years old. Then, you go to Carpet Bazaar which offers you a memorable experience. Meanwhile, the prices are negotiable. If you have enough time you can visit the Carpet Gallery with a beautiful collection of Persian rugs and carpets, all hand-woven.

Day 3 - Shiraz Artists

In the morning, you will fly to Shiraz. In the beginning, you visit one of the first and most wonderful Gabbeh weaving workshops in Shiraz before check-in. You get enchanted with the Persian Gabbeh designing and dyeing. After the hotel check-in head to Vakil Bazaar and then the Zand Complex including the castle, gardens, and mosque to get a sense of Shiraz as a capital 250 years ago and also the Shiraz carpet museum with the 300-year-old carpets.

Day 4 - Nomad Life

Drive to Kahkaranas a virgin and amazing village in Shesh Pir Rural District (if the weather is hot). Firuzabad (in the weather is cold). You will get acquainted with the people weaving and spinning thread and you have ample time to wander around the rural context of the village. After that, you will stay overnight in the black tents of the nomad as a unique and pure experience.

Day 5 - Adobe City

We have great sightseeing of Adobe city, located in the remote desert, the old city of Yazd* is built almost entirely of adobe and is an architectural wonder. We visit “Yakhchal“; these ancient refrigerators were used primarily to store ice for use in the summer, in Abarkouh you see the Cypress of Abarkuh also called the Zoroastrian Sarv. The exact age of the tree has been difficult to determine, but it is estimated to be between 4000 and 5000 years old.

Day 6 - Yazd Details

Today, in Yazd City we visit the Zurkhaneh; the traditional gymnasium, where amateurs practice their strength and flexibility to the accompaniment of devotional music. Yazd has been a Zoroastrian center since Sassanian times. Zoroastrians still make up a significant minority of the population, and the Atashkadeh in Yazd is the most important Zoroastrian fire temple in Iran. The sacred flame visible behind glass in the interior of the fire temple is said to have been burning for over 1500 years. We visit the Fire Temple and its grounds, and then the Tower of Silence, or Dakhma, where the bodies of the deceased were placed, to avoid contaminating the earth as a Zoroastrian funerary tradition. Towards the evening, we go ahead toward Isfahan.

Day 7 - Half of The World

In the morning you will get fascinated by the architecture of Vank Cathedral*,  and Hasht Behesht Palace. In the afternoon you have an interesting evening while rambling on Khajoo Bridge.

Day 8 - Persian Houses

 The capital of the Safavids from the 16th century on, Isfahan is said to have the most beautiful bridges. We view two of them, the Si-o-Se Pol as well as the ornate Pol-e Khaju. There are nine gardens in Iran designated UNESCO World Heritage, and we will visit one today – Chehel Sotun*, a pavilion constructed as a reception hall for visiting dignitaries by Shah Abbas II. Aali Qapu Palace**, The palace served as the official residence of Persian Emperors of the Safavid dynasty conclude our day in the Old Bazaar of Isfahan, where hundreds of shops and stalls offer a rich variety of carpets, tiles, hand-block-printed cloth, miniature paintings, and jewelry. In the end, Visiting the last remained workshop of Golden Brocade known as Golabatoun Bafi Mahdi Shamsali.

Day 9 - Persian Houses

This morning, drive to Kashan to walk through the famous Fin Garden*, another one of the UNESCO Persian Gardens. In keeping with many of the gardens of this era, the Fin Garden has many stunning water features that are fed from a spring emerging from a slope behind the garden. Circulating pools and fountains were created using only the water pressure of the waterway. We also visit the Tabatabaei Historical House and Borujerdiha/Abbasian Historical house in Kashan.

Day 10 - Missing Persia

Our tour guide will transfer you to Imam Khomeini International Airport according to your flight time.

Do I need a visa to enter Iran, and how do I obtain Iran Tourist Visa?

Yes, you need a visa to enter Iran as a visitor. You should make your visa application well in advance of your date of travel. The application process for an Iranian visa can be long and unpredictable. Visitors to Iran must obtain a visa from one of the Iranian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries or countries eligible for a visa on arrival.

To obtain an Iranian visa, you must first get a visa authorization code that proves your visa application is approved by the Iranian MFA. Once you have this code, you will be able to collect your visa at any embassy or airport. Apply for your Iran Visa and get it in less than 3 days. Please be noted that if you are buying a tour package from us, the visa authorization code is also included and you do not need to apply separately. Do I need an Iranian SIM card?

It’s not compulsory, but since you need to have access to the Internet, having a SIM card will be necessary. This tour includes Special Iran Travel Deal which has a SIM card for travelers.

Do I need travel insurance?

Where should I exchange my money?

Where to change somehow depends on the amount of money you’d like to exchange. If it’s a small amount you can change at the airport or your hotel after getting to Iran. But for larger amounts, we suggest exchanging at an exchange store in the city, while you are visiting the downtown with your guide. Your guide will also assist you in choosing the best place for doing the exchange. 

Are there Airport transfers for the tour?

Yes, To Iran Tour offers airport transfers. The distance from IKA to Tehran downtown is about 50 km and having an airport transfer will be a great solution when you just arrive in Tehran. This tour includes Special Iran Travel Deal which has Airport transfers for travelers.

Can I use my credit card in Iran, or do I need cash or a Tourist Card?

International credit or debit cards are not accepted in Iran, so you must bring cash and conduct frequent exchanges.
However, there is a solution to this problem: the “Iran tourist Card”. You can use this prepaid debit card for tourists instead of cash. This tour includes Special Iran Travel Deal which has tourist cards for travelers.

How can I Cancel my tour?

Are there any health concerns or vaccinations required before traveling to Iran?

All non-Iranian nationals older than 12 years, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present a valid vaccine certificate on arrival. The vaccination certificate must be in English, showing full vaccination of 2 doses. However, there are no obligations regarding the date of the vaccination. Or they should present a negative PCR test. 

What are accommodations like in this tour and what is their quality and comfort level?

Hotels are usually 4* or Traditional resorts with the same quality. Private or single rooms are not available in some traditional local houses. The basic price includes double and twin rooms in Hotels. Single rooms cost an extra fee.

Considering the locality and having an authentic experience, some traditional hotels or ecolodges do not have beds. But they all have sleeping equipment with comfortable Mattresses and Blankets. 

What are transportation like in this tour and what is their safety and comfort level?

Based on the group size or the road quality and the tour type, minibusses, vans or VIP buses will be used for the tour which are all private vehicles. All the vehicles are AC equipped and have the standard of EURO5 or EURO4.
