Welcome to Iran. To be met by your guide, you’ll be transferred from IKA to Tehran. After checking in to the hotel, you’ll visit Golestan Palace* and then the Grand Old Bazaar of Tehran.

Today is all about exploring Tehran. We start the day by visiting Sa’dAbad Palace Complex and Niavaran Palace. Then we visit the Jewelry, Islamic Art, and World Art Museum. Then in the evening, we move toward Kashan via train.

In Kashan, we visit beautiful architecture such as Tabatabaei Historical House and Borujerdiha or Abbasian Historical House. After that, visit Fin Persian Garden*, a relaxing and visually impressive Persian garden with water channels all passing through a central pavilion. Finally, we visit the Aghabozorg Mosque.

In the forenoon, we continue our tour by going to Yazd by Train. After a short rest in your traditional Hotel, we visit Dowlat Abad garden*.

The old city of Yazd* is built almost entirely of adobe and is an architectural wonder. To deal with the extremely hot summers, many old buildings have magnificent wind towers, with large underground areas to circulate cooling air. Yazd has been a Zoroastrian center since Sassanian times. Zoroastrians still make up a significant minority of the population, and the Atashkadeh in Yazd is the most important Zoroastrian fire temple in Iran. We visit the Tower of Silence, or Dakhma, where the bodies of the deceased were placed, to avoid contaminating the earth as a Zoroastrian funerary tradition, and then the Fire Temple and its grounds

Today we leave Yazd to visit the beautiful city of Abarkooh to visit the historical part and two thousand years old Cypress. Then we have lunch in Abarkooh. In the afternoon we go to Sa’adat Shahr near Pasargadae to spend the night there. En route, we visit the magnificent Pasargadae*, the Tomb of Cyrus the Great.

Today is all about the Persian Empire. On this day we visit Persepolis* which was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire and then visit Naghsh-e Rostam, an ancient necropolis. And finally, we move toward Shiraz to visit this beautiful city (by car). In Shiraz, we will visit Shah Cheragh holy shrine or the historical Narenjestan Qavam House.

We start today exploring Shiraz, the city of Roses and Nightingales. First, we visit Nasir al-Mulk Mosque (aka Pink Mosque), then a few steps further we visit Vakil Historical Complex (Public Bath, Bazar, Mosque) and Karim Khan Citadel. We have lunch there and visit Eram Persian Garden*. Finally, we finish the day by visiting Hafezieh (Tomb of Hafez; the Iranian famous poet).
Then we’ll go to Isfahan via train at night.

On Day 9 We explore Isfahan. We visit the beautiful Jame mosque of Isfahan*. And we enter the magnificent Naqshe Jahan historical square** through Qeysarieh Gate. In this open plaza, we visit Shah Mosque***, Sheikh Lotfollah mosque***, and finally Aliqapoo Palace**. We finish the day by visiting the beautiful Zayanderoud river and its Historical bridges, Si-o-Se-Pol and Khajoo Bridge at night which adds to their beauty.

We continue visiting Isfahan and its beauties. First, we visit Chehel Sotoun* and Hasht Behesht Persian Garden*. Then visit the interesting Music Museum in Isfahan. In which you might experience a live music performance. Then we take a stroll through the Jolfa neighborhood and visit Vank Cathedral and enjoy the neighborhood and its historic buildings.

My overall experience with this tour was great, however, taking trains was a little hard. But creating the opportunity to see Iranian people firsthand and communicating with them made it worthwhile. Also, the overall experience of the food wasn’t in my interest but my partner loved it.
