Why We Recommend You to Get an Iran Visa in Advance?

  • There are usually a high number of people waiting in lines to get Iran visa on arrival.
  • Imagine your flight has arrived in Tehran early morning and now you have to wait in lines, fill forms, and wait until your visa process is finished!
  • Sometimes the time that you have to wait is around 3 to 24 hours. (depends on your nationality)
  • There is always a chance to be turned away.
  • Iran issues only a 15-30 day tourist visa on arrival. (depends on your nationality)
  • Travelers who have been rejected for Iran visas previously will not receive an Iran visa on arrival.
  • Journalists and reporters on mission cannot get Iran visa on arrival.
  • Iranian nationals holding other nationality’s passport are not allowed to get Iran visa on arrival.
Iran visa on arrival is issued for tourist purposes only (ordinary passport). Diplomatic passport, official passports, etc. cannot apply for this type of Iran visa.

Please be noted you can also apply for your Iran visa on Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. However, it’s suggested you apply through a trusted travel agency in Iran. As you know, the process of applying for a visa can be a little confusing, especially if you want to do it yourself and also if you don’t have an invitation from Iran. Therefore, to ease your Iran visa process, we offer you to get your Iran visa through reliable travel agencies that are Iran-based.

We in “To Iran Tour” have an online visa system (e-visa) in order to get your visa to Iran online.

Visit Iran with your Stamp-free Passport!

Unfortunately, because of today’s United States’ one-sided sanctions against Iran, one might be worried about the Iran stamp in their passport. The good news is that for entering Iran, you need no stamp/ label in your passport!

The first thing you need to do is to fill out the Iran Visa Request Form at least two days prior to your arrival in Iran. Once you arrive at one of the international airports of Iran, you should tell the immigration officer that you do not want an Iran stamp on the passport. It is THAT easy; Now you have your stamp-free passport!

Also, it is possible for most of the nations (except USA, UK, Canada, Colombia, Somalia, Bangladesh, Jordan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India) to apply for a visa at the airport with no need to pre-application or filling out the Visa Request Forms prior to their arrival. But it is a time-taking process. So, it is highly recommended to apply for a visa before you come to Iran and collect your visa at the airport or even at an Iranian consulate.

Iran tourist visa is issued to foreign nationals who are interested in traveling to Iran individually or with a group for the purpose of visiting Iran or their relatives. The maximum duration to stay in Iran with a tourist visa is 30 days. Although it’s possible to extend it to 60 days, it is harder to add another 30 days to your visa.

You can try to get an Iran tourist visa by yourself, but using an agency is the safest and fastest way. We will apply for your visa whether you are planning to make your own arrangements or plan to take a tour with us.

Please note that visas are the responsibility of the individual traveler.

Note: Please, keep in mind that visa for Iran like all countries require passports to be valid for at least 6 months when the visa application is sent.

There are two Iran visa costs and charges:

The Iran Visa Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Application charge: This is similar to the ESTA approval from the U.S. Homeland and Security.

While the MFA application may be waived if you are eligible to obtain a visa on arrival, this option may cost you a few more hours at the airport, the risk of refusal, plus an additional 25 Euro above the regular visa charge. So thats why tourists still prefer to receive the MFA approval number prior to arrival. The cost for the MFA Application generally ranges between 45 to 75 EUR (45 to 75 USD) and can be obtained from Iran travel agencies only, rather than the MFA itself.

Visa stamp fee: It is the actual charge for the visa stamp in your passport itself.

It is the consular fee which you pay directly to the Iranian embassy or consulate where you will collect your visa. The visa stamp fee is based on your applicants’ nationality from 30 Euro to 75 Euro.

** According to ToIranTour saving strategy, if you book Iran tour with us, we waive your visa process fee unless you’re American, British or Canadian.
