Itinerary

Day 1 - Landing to Persia (Tehran)

Welcome to Iran! Your arrival will be at Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA). After your arrival, your guide meets and transfers you to the Hotel. The whole group will have a dinner with live Iranian music.

Day 2 - Watch Modern Tehran

Today we enjoy modern Tehran. In Tehran, we get to know the Iranian cinema, which reflects the Iranian lifestyle is well-known and prized around the world. So, we will go to the Museum of Cinema and if there is any chance, we watch some movies. This museum is located in a historical complex located in the district of Tajrish and dates back to the reign of the Qajar dynasty with a nice park which is called Ferdows Garden. After lunch, you can enjoy your free time in Tehran. Then in the afternoon, we take a  flight to Qeshm Island.

Day 3 - The Red Island

After breakfast, we take a ferry to Hormuz Island where the red soil of the island makes an eye-catching paradox with the turquoise blue of the Persian Gulf. If we are lucky, we can see dolphins too that usually follow boats. On the Island we visit Rainbow Mountains, We also will go for watching The Valley of the Statues, the Silver and Red Beaches of Hormuz, the Red Clay Mine, the Portuguese Castle (1507 A.D), and Salt mountain.

Day 4 - Taste of Persian Gulf

Early in the morning, we come back to Qeshm Island to start our journey there. We will visit Chah Kouh Canyon, Valley of stars, and Qeshm old Bazaar. In the evening, we go to the Geopark of Qeshm which is a wonderland and we will stay there until dinner time. Depending on the time of the flight, we leave for  Shiraz.

Day 5 - Gastronomic Paradise

In the morning, after breakfast, we will visit Eram Garden* which is a typical Persian garden. Then, we visit Nasir al-Mulk Mosque (aka Pink Mosque) which impresses you with its colors and lights. After that, Shirazi lunch is waiting for us! Then we will keep going with the Vakil bazaar and bath. In the evening we visit the Tomb of Hafez, the famous poet of Iran.

Day 6 - The Glory of the Persian Empire

In the morning, we leave Shiraz to visit Persepolis*Naqsh-e Rostam, and Pasargadae**. Then afterward, we will go to Yazd in the evening.

Day 7 - City of One Thousand and One Night

After breakfast, we will drive to Meybod which is a center for ceramics. There, we visit ceramic workshops and if there is any chance, try to make our hands dirty and make some ceramics. Lunch will be served in Meybod and after that, we drive back to Yazd. In the evening, we have a walk through the old neighborhood of Yazd* which is a UNESCO World Heritage that makes you feel you are a character from One Thousand and One Night stories.

Day 8 - Listen to the Silence of Desert and See Its Magnificent Views

After having breakfast, visit the stunning City of wind towers in the middle of deserts and Zoroastrianism. Tower of Silence is the first visit of the day, a structure built by Zoroastrians for excarnation. Then we will visit the Fire Temple of Yazd. The fire temple in Zoroastrianism is the place of worship for Zoroastrians, Then, we look around the Amir Chakhmaq Square, a complex consisting of Tekyeh(a building where Shia Muslims gather to mourn Husayn’s death in the month of Muharram), a Water reservoir, a mosque, Bazaar. Among the many other historic sites to be seen in Yazd are beautiful old houses and the Dowlat Abad Garden*. Standing by the garden’s long reflecting pool, you’ll be shaded by ancient Pine trees.

Day 9 - Listen, See and Touch the Half of the World

After Breakfast, we will drive to Esfahan which is also known as “Half of The World”. Lunch will be served in an Iranian-styled restaurant with Iranian tastes and spices. In the afternoon we go for a walk in the historical bazaar of Esfahan and Naghsh-e Jahan Square* where we can visit some handicraft workshops to touch, feel, and experience Iranian arts. When it comes to architecture and music, Iranians know how to combine them to make double their impressions. We will visit the Acoustic Music Hall of Ali-Qapu Palace* and Shah Mosque* where you can hear eco like you are talking to mountains. After the bazaar, we will have dinner and afterward, will head to the riverside for a walk and visit the historical bridges, and listen to the river and local artists sing under the bridges.

Day 10 - Listen, See and Touch the Half of the World

After breakfast, we will go to Jame Mosque of Esfahan* to see some fine Perso-Islamic architecture. Then, after lunchtime, we will visit the Music Museum of Esfahan. In the evening, we will go to some musical instrument stores and workshops.

Day 11 - Smell the Aroma of Persia

We will leave Isfahan after breakfast heading to Kashan. In Kashan, after we taste Iranian cuisine in a traditional house, we will visit its very famous perfume oil extraction workshops to smell the aroma of rose, mint, Cinnamon, etc. In case you make it to Iran from late April until early May, you can enjoy the Rose Festival.

Drive to the international airport of IKA and fly back home.

Do I need a visa to enter Iran, and how do I obtain Iran Tourist Visa?

Yes, you need a visa to enter Iran as a visitor. You should make your visa application well in advance of your date of travel. The application process for an Iranian visa can be long and unpredictable. Visitors to Iran must obtain a visa from one of the Iranian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries or countries eligible for a visa on arrival.

To obtain an Iranian visa, you must first get a visa authorization code that proves your visa application is approved by the Iranian MFA. Once you have this code, you will be able to collect your visa at any embassy or airport. Apply for your Iran Visa and get it in less than 3 days. Please be noted that if you are buying a tour package from us, the visa authorization code is also included and you do not need to apply separately. Do I need an Iranian SIM card?

It’s not compulsory, but since you need to have access to the Internet, having a SIM card will be necessary. This tour includes Special Iran Travel Deal which has a SIM card for travelers.

Do I need travel insurance?

Where should I exchange my money?

Where to change somehow depends on the amount of money you’d like to exchange. If it’s a small amount you can change at the airport or your hotel after getting to Iran. But for larger amounts, we suggest exchanging at an exchange store in the city, while you are visiting the downtown with your guide. Your guide will also assist you in choosing the best place for doing the exchange. 

Are there Airport transfers for the tour?

Yes, To Iran Tour offers airport transfers. The distance from IKA to Tehran downtown is about 50 km and having an airport transfer will be a great solution when you just arrive in Tehran. This tour includes Special Iran Travel Deal which has Airport transfers for travelers.

Can I use my credit card in Iran, or do I need cash or a Tourist Card?

International credit or debit cards are not accepted in Iran, so you must bring cash and conduct frequent exchanges.
However, there is a solution to this problem: the “Iran tourist Card”. You can use this prepaid debit card for tourists instead of cash. This tour includes Special Iran Travel Deal which has tourist cards for travelers.

How can I Cancel my tour?

Are there any health concerns or vaccinations required before traveling to Iran?

All non-Iranian nationals older than 12 years, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present a valid vaccine certificate on arrival. The vaccination certificate must be in English, showing full vaccination of 2 doses. However, there are no obligations regarding the date of the vaccination. Or they should present a negative PCR test. 

What are accommodations like in this tour and what is their quality and comfort level?

Considering the locality and having an authentic experience, some traditional hotels or ecolodges do not have beds. But they all have sleeping equipment with comfortable Mattresses and Blankets. 

What are transportation like in this tour and what is their safety and comfort level?

Based on the group size or the road quality and the tour type, minibusses, vans or VIP buses will be used for the tour which are all private vehicles. All the vehicles are AC equipped and have the standard of EURO5 or EURO4.
