*One of the 9 UNESCO Persian gardens
Today, your tour guide will pick you up to visit the ancient historical monuments Persepolis*, Pasargadae** & Naghsh-e-Rostam Persepolis (Takht-é Jamshid) is the heart of the Persian Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.(Late 6th century B.C) Here, walk through a complex of palaces and temples that are said to be one of the architectural wonders of the world. Massive winged bulls, derived from Assyria but given a characteristic Persian stateliness, greet us at the head of a grand stairway wide enough for five horses to ride abreast. The stairway leads up to the vast platform on which the entire site is built. On the stairway up to the Apadana, the reception hall to the palace of King Darius I, survey the hundreds of figures carved in low relief exactly as Darius and Xerxes saw them. They look so fresh they might have been cut yesterday. The small museum in Persepolis has been created from the ruins of a building called the “harem of Xerxes”. Then our explorations take us to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pasargadae to see the impressive, elevated Tomb of Cyrus and walk through the ancient city’s different sections: the Presidential Palace, the Audience Hall, the Gatehouse, and the curious Zendan-e Soleyman. In Naghsh-e-Rostam we visit a collection of ancient Iranian rock reliefs cut into the face of the mountain and the mountain contains the final resting place of four Achaemenid kings, notably king Darius the great and his son, Xerxes.

Southern Iran has many delicious foods in addition to natural and cultural
attractions. Due to its proximity to the sea, its cuisine is mostly based on seafood.
One of the exceptional features of southern cuisine is its strong flavors and spices.
The Southern people love hot and spicy flavors, unlike Northern cuisine, which
is often sour. A variety of aromatic spices and peppers are the main and
inseparable part of their food. Of course, southerners have sour and sweet foods as
well; though it’s not their preference.
