During our excursion to the Kerman suburbs, we will visit the 1,000-year-old Sirch Old Cypress Tree. Then, we will explore one of the world's largest deserts, featuring impressive aeolian Kalout landforms, extensive stony deserts, and dune fields. The Lut Desert, one of the hottest places on Earth, is known for its amazing and varied landforms, including massive Kalouts visible from space and different types of dunes, such as crescent-shaped and star dunes.
The Lut Desert is special because it has many different types of desert landforms in a small area. The Kalouts are some of the best examples in the world and look like the ruins of an enormous ancient city with grand palaces and buildings. The Lut sand seas are among the best-developed active dune fields in the world, with some of the highest dunes on Earth. Nebkha dune fields, which form around plants, are also common and very tall in Lut.
After exploring the desert, we will visit Shazdeh Mahan Garden, also known as the Prince’s Garden. This Persian Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is like a miracle in the middle of the desert. At the end of the day, we will get back to Kerman.
